Warrawee Park pre-school has wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities for the children and families to enjoy. The Kindergarten is very well equipped with a large array of educational resources available to the Teachers and staff for use in planning and implementing our specialised Early Childhood programs.
The facilities have always been well maintained and added to over the years to provide the best possible learning environment for our children and families. The Kindergarten has a wonderful octagonal room filled with light airy space for the children to work in and that creates an easy space for staff to interact and supervise children in.
There is an area for parent information pockets and notice boards to convey relevant information or exchange notices. Children hang their bags in this area also.
The outdoor space has a wonderfully large and exciting playground full of natural play spaces to explore. The outlook onto the park gives an added feeling of space and the children are actively encouraged to run, jump, climb and use their gross motor skills whilst enjoying social interactions in the outdoor educational program.
There are also spaces outside for passive and calm play and to explore, create and think. The outdoor space has several different play surfaces such as soft fall bark areas, rubber mat areas and rubber bike path, concrete paths for drawing, ball play and riding, grass and pathways of stone along with a fantastic rock / pebble garden area to look for bugs, colour rocks with water and enjoy. The children can also explore their dramatic play outdoors with the cubby house for role play and a decking stage area for drama or putting on shows with dress ups and friends. Over this area there is an arbour which has different types of wind chimes for the children to experience sound.
In the top section of the playground there is some fixed climbing equipment with a slide and a fort, a flying fox and some monkey bars. There are also swings and a lovely double sand pit for the children to explore. We really encourage the children to use the veggie patch for digging and gardening. They also get involved in putting out the compost from snack in the compost bin and watering all of the beautiful plants that make up the lush gardens we have.
